Applications are being accepted in the areas of visual, performing, literary and culinary arts, family-friendly programming, community engagement and neighborhood businesses. The application deadline is 11:59pm on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

Semifinalist For Janet & Walter Sondheim Artscape Prize

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA) announces the semifinalists for the 15th annual Janet & Walter Sondheim Artscape Prize. Thirty-five artists have been selected for the semifinal round by 2020 jurors Gary Carrion-Murayari, Nona Faustine, and Diya Vij. The competition awards a $25,000 fellowship to assist in furthering the career of a visual artist or visual artist collaborators living and working in the Greater Baltimore region.

2019 Sondheim Winner: Akea Brionne Brown

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA) announces Akea Brionne Brown as the winner of 14th annual Janet & Walter Sondheim Artscape Prize.

Finalists exhibit at the Walters Art Museum, located at 600 N. Charles St., on Saturday, June 15–Sunday, August 11, 2019. The exhibition and ceremony are free open to the public. The 2019 jurors were Laylah Ali, Regine Basha and William Powhida.
