Artscape 2018 Schedule Announced

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts has announced the schedule for Artscape 2018. Headline performers are TLC, Toots & The Maytals and ZZ Ward as well as Garth Fagan Dance and Squonk Opera. Other programs include Artscape Artwork Projects, Youth Day, Kidscape, Theater and more.

2018 Sondheim Artscape Prize Exhibition Opens June 20

See the works of finalists Erick Antonio Benitez, Nakeya Brown, Sutton Demlong, Nate Larson, Eunice Park and Stephen Towns at the Janet & Walter Sondheim Artscape Prize Exhibition at The Baltimore Museum of Art from June 20-August 5. The winner of the $25,000 prize will be announced Saturday, July 14.

The Fred Lazarus IV Artscape Prize winner

The winner of the fifth annual Fred Lazarus IV Artscape Prize is Kailah Foreman, a senior at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. Kailah will receive $1,000 as well as a stipend to produce a solo exhibition during the 37th annual Artscape. Kailah’s work will be on display at Artscape on the median of Mount Royal Avenue in a portable gallery built by Open Works.
